UK prolongs Evraz's license for operations in North America
MOSCOW, Feb 13 (PRIME) -- The U.K. has prolonged a license of U.K.-based mining giant Evraz, which operates mainly in Russia, to continue the operations in North America until September 30, as follows from a statement released by the U.K. government on Monday.
Evraz attained the license by the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) on April 29, 2022. The document entered in force on May 5, and was prolonged in August until March 31, 2023.
The company owns two steel mills in the U.S. and four in Canada and is the leader in rail production of North America, as well as the largest producer of large-diameter pipes and flat steel.
